Co-curricular-Activities

The institute provides various co-curricular activities which gives an opportunity to students to discover their talent in various discipline along with their academics. The following table shows co-curricular activities at the institute level.
Student’s activities

The Institute has various technical and non-technical committees functional at the department and the Institute levels. At student level, there are various cultural, technical and sports clubs as formed for the overall growth of the students. These committees regularly organize co-curricular activities like seminars, workshops, conferences, expert guidance training and expert sessions guiding students as a value addition in academics.

  • REDX AI Club

    KJSIT REDX AI club serves as entry point to the creativity of innovators who are creating solutions to satisfy significant social needs.

    This club will help for co-creation of scalable solutions, which need not end up as a startup but aim to solve large societal challenges using technologies like technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, etc.

    VYOM

    Vyom is a students’ astronomy club that has been operational at our institute since 19th January, 2017.

    The purpose of Vyom is to establish a students’ club with an environment that promotes and encourages the students to engage in astronomy, as a hobby as well as a serious interest, through regular discussions, seminars and quizzes..The motto of the club was also decided in this semester.

  • New Leap Initiative

    In the month of September 2016, a group of students was visiting Abhiyantriki 2016, the technical festival of Vidyavihar campus.

    That year, the chief attraction of the festival was the ISRO exhibition. There the team had a conversation with ISRO spokesmen person and team came back figuring out what can be done and what things are required to make a satellite.

    After 1 failed attempt the team finally kicked off on 28th February during National Science Day celebration in college.

    NAKSHATRA

    Nakshatra promotes the usage of Marathi Bhasha in non-Marathi students and staff

    The purpose of Nakshatra is to celebrate significance and value of Marathi,encourage students for creative writing, Sahitya Aaswad and Compering,arrange various activities to encourage Marathi literature among the students as well as the faculty members,to provide students with a platform to showcase their skills like poetry, drama, etc.

  • Green Club

    Green Club is a major step towards Green Campus which involves much more as clean water, clean air, clean roadsides, safe waste disposal and preservation of nature.

    The objective of Green Club is to create environmental and cleanliness awareness among students and staff,to educate students and staff for plantation of more number of trees including medicinal plants and maintain the campus green by using concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle,to save and efficiently use natural resources for maintaining the Campus Green.

  • NSS - Activities

    NSS is one of the aided extra-curricular activities conducted by the University of Mumbai and the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.Its motto is “NOT ME BUT YOU”.

    KJSIT NSS Unit started in September 2015 with 50 members.National Service Scheme (NSS) is a scheme specially made for social cause. The motto of NSS "NOT ME BUT YOU”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service.
