Department of Information Technology is organizing Summer Internship 2020 on the theme “Towards Industry 4.0” for the students of First, Second and Third Year of K. J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology, Sion, Mumbai in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
Objectives:
To create awareness among the students about the 4th industrial revolution Industry 4.0.
To impart knowledge of components of Industry 4.0 and its realization using Information Technology.
To discuss upcoming trends and projects in industries with Industry 4.0.
To offer mentoring to students by industrialists on various projects related to Industry 4.0.
Mode and Approach:
The internship offers Online Interactive Live Sessions (through Microsoft Teams) that shall cover insights into practical aspects and upcoming trends with regards to the components of Industry 4.0, followed by a discussion on innovative problem statements using the respective component.
The students shall be working on the projects suggested by the experts in a group of 2-3 during the month of internship, shall be provided mentoring, and are required to submit the outcome at the end of the internship.
Number of Seats: Limited and on First Come First Serve basis.
Duration: June 2020 (1 month)
Time: 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM for Online Sessions and onwards for Project Development.
Registration Fees: To enhance learning, innovation and technical growth of students during the pandemic, the internship is offered Free of Cost.

Experts: The sessions shall be delivered by eminent Industrialists and Researchers from India and abroad with a vast experience in respective fields and affiliated to: BYJU’S (Think & Learn Pvt. Ltd.), Zycus, Indoco Remedies Ltd., Amazon Alexa Services, Blueshift, GetWings Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Oracle, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.
