Dr. Milind Uttam Nemade is a distinguished academician, researcher, and academic leader with over 29 years of teaching experience in engineering education. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Speech Processing and is presently pursuing Post-Doctoral Research in AI-based Monophonic Music Generation and Analysis.
Dr. Nemade has an extensive research portfolio spanning Speech Processing, AI-driven Music Generation, Signal Processing, Soft Computing, and Machine Learning applications. He has published widely in reputed IEEE, Springer, and Scopus-indexed venues and has successfully guided multiple Ph.D. scholars. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE and Fellow of IETE.
With over two decades of administrative experience, he has served in key leadership roles including Head of Department, Dean of Industry-Institute Interaction, and In-Charge Principal. He has contributed significantly to curriculum development, NEP implementation, research mentoring, and academic governance.
His work reflects a strong commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary research, and academic excellence in emerging domains of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
