Prof. Medha Sanjay Asurlekar is an Assistant Professor at K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology, Sion, Mumbai, with more than 17 years of experience in engineering education. She has been associated with the institute since August 2007 and has also served as a Lecturer at VJTI, Matunga, Mumbai.

She holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and has expertise in teaching core and emerging subjects such as Python Programming, Cryptography and Network Security, Communication Engineering, Control Systems, and Basic Electrical Engineering.

Prof Asurlekar’s research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks and   cybersecurity. She has published multiple research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences and has received minor research grants from the University of Mumbai.

She actively participates in faculty development programs and certifications related to AI, machine learning, quantum computing, and cybersecurity. Beyond academics, she contributes significantly to institutional growth through roles such as Training and Placement Coordinator, IETE coordinator, syllabus revision member, mentor, and project guide. She is committed to continuous learning, innovation, and holistic student development.
