Dr. Sarita Ambadekar, heading the department of computer engineering since 2015-16. She is associated with the institute since 2008, during her tenure she worked in numerous administrative capacities like: served as Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology in A.Y.2009 and A.Y. 2010. She had worked as DSE admission coordinator for A. Y. 2015-16 and 2016-17.  She has organized many FDP, STTP, Orientation Programs, Workshops, Seminars, Webinars for department and institute faculties. She has organized Industrial visits, SDP, workshops, webinars, seminars, expert talks, internship programs, certification programs for students. Under her tenure Computer department received NBA, Institute NAAC and Autonomy. She is member of syllabus revision committee for many courses during revision of syllabus 2016 and 2019 of University of Mumbai. She has done her Ph.D., ME, BE in Computer Engineering with the specialization in the field of Image processing, Database system, Data Mining & Machine learning. She has total experience of 22+ years in Teaching & Administration in Engineering. She has published various research papers across International, National conferences in India and published papers in Springer book series. She has filed a Permanent Complete Indian Patent and the same is published at Indian Patent Journal. She has received Minor Research Funding from UoM.She has guided many major, minor and mini projects developed for the department and institute.
