Social media acts as a double-edged sword ie. Its low cost as well as spread over the globe for consumption of news through social media. The rapid spread of misleading information in media outlets such as social media feeds, news blogs, and online newspapers have made it challenging to identify trustworthy news sources, thus increasing the need for tools able to provide insights into the authenticity of online content.
