Book Borrowing Policies
- Library provides open access enabling the users to browse wide range of books.
- Books are stacked as per subject so it is easy for user to identify books as per his / her requirement.
- User can use OPAC to search books on online catalogue and also library staff available to help. These policies are framed for streamlining the process of library resources.
Library Timing
Students, Faculty and Staff can use Library as per following schedule.
During Regular Term
Monday to Friday - 8.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m.
During Examination Period
Monday to Friday - 8.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m.
Sunday and other holidays - 10.00 a.m.- 5.00 p.m.
Identity card is mandatory for everyone to enter in Library.
Only current Students, Faculty and Staff can issue books from Library.
Loss & Damage Of Library Books:
The users should replace the damaged and lost books issued from library.

Faculty & Staff
No. of Books issue per Faculty: 6 Books (Except Reference books)
Duration of Books issue: 120 days

Can be renewed online for 120 days provided there is no reservation
PH.D. aspiring Faculty
No. of Books issue: 9 Books
(Except Reference books)
Duration of Books issue: 120 days

Interlibrary Loan
Global Common Circulation
Users can borrow 1 Book for 7 Days from other Somaiya Institutes’ Libraries at a time
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers - IETE
- IETE Newsletter and one of the technical journal & Subsidized subscription rates for other publications of IETE
- Concessional rates for attending seminars,conferences and other technical programs organized by IETE
- Members also have the opportunity to undergo professional development programs conducted by the IETE

- Book bank scheme funded by Social welfare Department, Chembur - “Students enrolled under SC scholarship are eligible for availing this scheme.”
